Trust us, these breakfast ideas are oat-so-yummy!

One of the best breakfast ideas for anyone looking for a quick and nutritious meal before the day starts is definitely overnight oats. This breakfast idea has taken the internet by storm, and not without good reason — it’s easy, it’s delicious, and you can make it any way you want!

The basic premise with all these combos is simple: Mix all the ingredients in one clean mason jar, and seal with a lid before placing in the fridge overnight. You’ll be greeted in the morning with a quick, delicious, and nutritious breakfast which can keep in the fridge for a few days. You can make a few jars ahead of time for meal prep, and have your favorite recipes ready to go!

Feel free to play around with the ratios to get the texture and sweetness you like! Chia seeds will help thicken the mixture overnight. You can swap the yogurt with more milk, too, and add one more teaspoon of chia seeds for a thicker, creamier texture. For a vegan option, use soy milk, almond milk, or any milk of your choice.

Here are six overnight oats recipes you HAVE to try to energize your morning:

1. Vanilla Overnight Oats (Base Recipe)

This versatile vanilla staple will be the base for all of the other recipes, but it’s just as tasty and creamy on its own. Here are the ingredients:

1/4 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup plain yogurt (preferably Greek yogurt)
1/3 cup milk (use any milk of your choice)
1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (or any sweetener of your choice)
1 teaspoon chia seeds
dash of vanilla (optional)

2. Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats

For a breakfast that tastes just like delicious apple pie!

Base recipe (use maple syrup)
1/3 cup chopped apple
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Tip: Add in a handful of yummy raisins, or top with walnuts! You can replace the yogurt with applesauce, too, for an even stronger apple flavor!

3. Chocolate Peanut Butter Overnight Oats

A yummy, indulgent breakfast for a morning boost!

Base recipe
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon peanut butter (or any nut butter of your choice)
1/2 banana, sliced (for topping)

Tip: Add in a handful of your favorite chocolate chips, for an even more indulgent Double Chocolate version!

4. Berry Banana Overnight Oats

Bursting with berry and banana goodness!

Base recipe
1/2 banana, diced
berries of choice (for topping)

Tip: Add in some shaved white chocolate for a sweet, indulgent surprise. You can mix the berries in overnight to make them softer as well.

5. Banana Nut Overnight Oats

Sweet and nutty with some yummy spice!

Base recipe
1 banana, mashed
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
dash of nutmeg
2 tbsp. chopped walnuts

Tip: Top with some sliced bananas, more chopped walnuts, or a drizzling of honey.

6. Halo-Halo Overnight Oats

Some of the best of our local flavors in an easy-to-make breakfast!

Base recipe
1 teaspoon ube halaya or ube jam
1 tablespoon shaved coconut
1/2 mango, diced

Tip: For a richer coconut taste, use coconut milk instead of dairy milk and yogurt in the base recipe.

These six recipes are sure to get your creative juices flowing. There are so many ways to make your overnight oats just the way you like, and to make it new and refreshing every time. Start every beautiful day with this amazing breakfast, and start creating the beautiful life you deserve!
